OUR MISSION AND COMMITMENT TO YOU
WYFC shall provide football and cheerleading opportunities to the youth of Wappingers Falls and occasionally, neighboring districts. We will help athletes to develop leadership skills, confidence and sportsmanship in boys and girls grades K-7 no matter their race, color, sex or creed. WYFC will teach the fundamentals and basic techniques of football and cheerleading and incorporate those techniques into game-day tournaments and cheerleading routines. We will provide and promote a safe play environment for all athletes and families in our program by implementing and encouraging strict control of our bylaws, code of conducts, use of equipment and identifying all skill limits to maintain sound mind, body and emotional conditioning. WYFC will encourage and uplift all athletes and work with them to continue to develop in their sport to excel beyond our program. We will coach and teach our athletes with the highest integrity and compassion. We practice positive reinforcement that balances having fun as well as the development of life skills with winning, losing and working hard to achieve one’s goal, no matter the outcome. We strive to develop each individual athlete in our program and provide opportunities and challenges (at an appropriate level) for every athlete.

The Wappingers Wildcats were founded on dedication and commitment to our community and our community’s families. We know that we cannot prevail without the support of our athletes, parents, board members, fans, local business owners and community members.
Each and every member of our program is considered family, and we strive to provide an environment that our members can call their second home.
Our board members and staff work tirelessly day in and day out to assure that our program continues to thrive and live up to what we stand for, family. As a family, we practice and demonstrate teamwork, leadership and resilience. We grow together. We persevere together. We continue to climb and succeed together.
The Wappingers Wildcats is proud to represent our athletes, families and our community. Offering multiple football and cheerleading divisions in our program, we take pride in making sure each athlete grows comfortably with adequate practice and playing time.
Every season, we gear up to compete against the most prestigious teams in the Taconic Youth Football & Cheer league. Every athlete trains to grow and perfect their skill set as the TYFC teams battle it out for a chance to play in the end of the season local, regional and national championships.
Whether you are looking to play in our flag football program, our tackle football program, or you are looking to cheer with our newly returning cheerleading program, you will find our organization to be a great place to learn new skills and meet new friends that become more like family.
